Nordic Summit of Species
Join us for two days of inspirational talks, workshops and networking!
As the rivers, the forests, the birds, the hills, the insects, the fungi and the many multitudes of nature face growing exploitation and destruction, what voice can they use to speak up for their own rights?
The Nordic Summit of Species is a two-day event bringing together civil society organizations that are advocating for rights and representation of nature. Each with their own approach to lending their voices to nonhuman ecologies.

Food & drinks
The ticket will include food and drinks throughout the day both Friday and Saturday. We will serve tea and coffee in the morning along with some fruit or bread, a vegan sandwich for lunch + water as well as some afternoon tea and coffee with fruit or snacks/cake. Everything served will be vegan. Please make a note on allergies or similar in your registration, if you have any.
Friday evening, we might invite for some social activities where food and drinks can be purchased separately.
Saturday evening, we will host a social dinner open to all summit participants. We have booked an awesome place called Folkestedet which is beautifully situated just accross the stream only few meters from VIA University. There is room for 120 people and we cross our fingers that this will be enough room so that everyone who whish to join the dinner can get a ticket. Included in the ticket price for the dinner (200 DKK) is a warm vegan dish, a vegan dessert and a free beer or soda.
Limited low cost accommodation!
We have prebooked some dorms in the cool hostel Roberta's Society (https://robertassociety.com/ ) only 10 min. walk from the venue. For oly DKK 580 you can book a bed in one of these dorms. This price is for 3 nights from the 11th to the 14th of September and the dates cannot be changed. You will get a bunk bed in a pleasant and simple mixed dorm. Linen is included and each bed includes blackout curtains for privacy, a power outlet by the bed, and a personal locker. Unfortunately, we cannot ensure that friends are staying in the same dorm or make any other special arrangements, so you will have to take the chance. You book this accommodation as an additional choice after chosing a type of ticket.
Everyone is welcome!
Many activities will be in Danish or other Scandinavian languages as well as English. Children are welcome at the summit and in the detailed programme you can see which activities are suitable for what age groups. Tickets for children in the age 0-18 are free. Please note that you need to make a separate registration for your child / each child in the age of 0-18 years so we ensure to have the best overview of all participants.
We want this summit to be accessible to as many as possible and will have that in mind when planning the detailed programme. Our venue at VIA University is wheelchair accessible. Service dogs are welcome, and personal assistants can join for free; please choose ‘ticket for organizers, volunteers etc.’ for personal assistants. Please note that you need to make a separate registration for personal assistant so we can plan enough food and drinks for everyone. Please note that many of the workshops will be outdoors and not all of these will be accessible to everyone, but there will be indoor alternatives. We are here to support your participation. If there’s anything you need that isn’t covered above, feel free to reach out to Vena at venanaskrecka@gmail.com, we’ll do our best to find a good solution together.
